Tatreez Exhibition & Workshop
The Committee on Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights’ Muslim American Studies Working Group is pleased to host a two-week Tatreez Exhibition beginning February 27, highlighting Palestinian embroidery as a form of cultural memory, artistic expression, and intergenerational storytelling.
Tatreez, the traditional Palestinian art of hand embroidery, is a practice deeply tied to memory, identity, and storytelling across generations.
The exhibition will open with a Tatreez Workshop:

📍 1100 Massachusetts Ave, Second Floor
No prior experience is required. All materials will be provided.
Refreshments will be provided!
Community members are warmly invited to contribute tatreez pieces to be displayed as part of the exhibition.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Society of Arab Students (SAS), Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSC), and Harvard Arab Women’s Collective (HAWC).

As part of our upcoming Tatreez Exhibition, we warmly invite community members to share pieces of Palestinian embroidery to be displayed.
Tatreez, the traditional Palestinian art of hand embroidery, is a practice deeply tied to memory, identity, and storytelling across generations. Historically, tatreez has served not only as artistic expression but as a living archive of heritage, resilience, and connection to place. Through this exhibition, we hope to honor these traditions by showcasing pieces contributed by the community.
