R. Tolteka Cuauhtin joins Professor Marcelo Felipe Garzo Montalvo's Intro to Ethnic Studies class to give a talk titled, “The Case of the CA Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum: Attacks from White Supremacy Culture and the 50/500+ Year Struggle of Ethnic Studies Communities... Into the Next Era at Local, State, and National levels — We Will Rise.”
Cuauhtin is a nationally recognized Ethnic Studies educational leader and co-editor of the award winning book, Rethinking Ethnic Studies (Rethinking Schools, 2019). He co-chaired California’s AB2016 Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum Advisory Committee, and has helped galvanize a multiracial, intersectional, and intergenerational Ethnic Studies movement across California as never before.
