Nathan Samayo (he/him/his) is a Master of Divinity candidate at Harvard Divinity School and currently seeking ordination in the United Church of Christ. He was born in Guåhan and grew up in Tacoma, WA. His research interests include how pastoral care and counseling, therapeutic and mindfulness practices may be used to support communities and individuals onto healing journeys from trauma. He centers the narratives, memory, and modern experiences of Pacific Islanders under the legacy of US imperialism, militarism, and environmental catastrophe. Nathan currently serves as a youth pastor in Ipswich, MA. and enjoys dancing, comedy shows, and family BBQs.
