Student Advisory Council

About SAC
The Student Advisory Council (SAC) membership gives students invested in Ethnic and Indigenous Studies, and in studies of migration and human rights, opportunities to advise on EMR programming. Representatives from EMR Working Groups, the Ethnic Studies Coalition, and the Task Force on Asian Pacific American Studies offer organizational updates and peer support, and strategize intergroup collaborations. Important aspects of our regular operations, such as the biweekly EMR newsletter, began around this table as student suggestions!

Interested in joining?
SAC meets monthly. Interested students and faculty are welcome to attend any meeting. Lunch is provided at meetings, so please RSVP to the meeting you plan to attend. Those who become official SAC members agree to attend meetings regularly, assist with publicizing EMR events, and serve as peer contacts for students with similar academic interests.

SAC Member Bios
The bios below are offered by SAC members for the purpose of peer outreach. You can connect with a fellow student about shared interests, and find out how to get involved in EMR and around campus.
